Information about the possible departure of Romero from Manchester United emerged after the goalkeeper purchased a house in Milan. Italian media have linked this deal with possible negotiations with one of the Milan clubs.

The current contract between Romero and MJ is still valid for a year, but the goalkeeper is interested in returning to Italy where he previously played for Sampdoria.
