British light heavyweight boxer Anthony Yarde said that the world champion in the WBO, WBA, IBO and IBF heavyweight division Alexander Usik helped him prepare for his next fight against Russian Artur Beterbiev.
He said this in a comment to Boxingscene..
" He was there during the Fury-Chisora \u200b\u200bfight.. He spoke and I listened. I am very humble when it comes to studying..
What we were talking about? It's just between us. If you remember, he fought Beterbiev twice. He pointed me to some things. Just a little advice is all. Usyk is a great guy,"
Usyk defeated Beterbiev in two out of three fights in the amateur ring (World Cup 2011 and Olympic Games 2012).
The Russian will defend the WBC, WBO, IBF championship belts in a duel against Anthony Yarde on January 28, 2023.
