The Association of European Clubs (AEK) has donated one million euros to Ukrainian clubs, reports the BBC..

" We are all saddened by these violent attacks on the Ukrainian people, we call for peace. The suffering we see reminds us of what really matters. I am proud to announce that AEK has provided one million euros of support to our members to help the Ukrainian people.

Also, many of our clubs offered shelters for Ukrainian young players.

I am in touch with the UN Human Rights Council, so the AJC can help both the Ukrainian people and the displaced people who are taken care of in neighboring countries,"

Recall that on February 24, Russian President Putin made an urgent statement about conducting a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, launching a large-scale invasion of Ukrainian cities..
