Belarusian players can no longer be “foreigners” in any football competitions held by Russia.
According to the official website of the federal portal for projects of regulatory legal acts, the Ministry of Sport of Russia has prepared changes to its order, which will relieve the Belarusian players of the status of legionaries in Russian football.
It is reported that the decision of this project will be discussed until December 10.
Now Belarusian players are legionnaires and fall under the limit, which is associated with foreigners.
A similar proposal on the status of Belarusian athletes was made regarding the All-Russian volleyball, basketball and rugby competitions.
