One of the largest indoor stadiums in the US Georgia Dome was blown up on November 20.
To destroy the arena with a capacity of 71 250 spectators, about 2.5 tons of explosives were used.
The process of explosion took about 15 seconds.
Georgia Dome was opened in 1992, it hosted 1,400 events that generated profits of over $ 7.4 billion.
In this arena there were two Superbaughs, a match of the basketball tournament at the 1996 Olympics, three Finals of four in the NCAA and other sports tournaments.
Now, instead of Georgia Dome, they plan to use the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the teams Atlanta Falcons (American football) and Atlanta United (soccer). The cost of the new arena is estimated at $ 1.6 billion.
