A few minutes ago in St. Petersburg ended the opening match of the Confederations Cup. At the tournament, which is considered the dress rehearsal of the 2018 World Cup, the Russian team started with a confident victory over New Zealand.
Before our match, our national team was considered the favorite, and this status justified in full. Russians throughout the match possessed the advantage, and, as a result, sent two goals to the gate of their rivals. First, after a strike by Denis Glushakova, New Zealand's defenders pushed the ball into their own goal, then distinguished himself by Fedor Smolov.
Thus, the Russian team won with a score of 2: 0.
Recall, as part of the Cup of the Confederation of the Russian team to play with teams from Portugal and Mexico.
