Head of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration Vitaly Kim noted the need to pay special attention to socially vulnerable categories of the population in preparation for the new heating season.

He stated this during a discussion panel on the energy sustainability of Ukraine in 2026 as part of the “New Country” project from LB. ua and EFI Group.

Kim noted that energy sustainability is not only generators for business, but also support for people who find themselves on the brink of survival.

“If a person has money, preparing for winter through some kind of program or non-program is not a problem, it’s an expense. And we must think about socially vulnerable people. You say: we need to make ecoflow, eggplants. But people don’t have the means to buy a train ticket and go to their relatives. No. They cannot “chip in” for a generator, they cannot buy diesel for themselves, their grandmother or someone else in these houses,” stated Vitaly Kim.
