At the age of 96, an honorary citizen of Kharkov Igor Malitsky, a prisoner of four concentration camps, a professor at the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy, head of a public organization of former political prisoners of fascist concentration camps, has died.

Malitsky died on November 23, relatives said on his Facebook page..

Igor Malitsky was born on February 12, 1925 in Kharkov. His father was repressed in 1938, his mother died after the war. During the occupation of Kharkov in 1943, Malitsky was sent to Germany, he hid in the territory of the former Czechoslovakia, where he was arrested. Three years later he was a prisoner of four concentration camps - Terezin, Auschwitz, Mauthausen and its branch " Had # 188005.
