The majority of Ukrainians - almost 62% - support the transition of the service sector to Ukrainian. Such data of the all-Ukrainian public opinion poll, conducted from January 27 to February 1, 2021, was published by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology.. As stated in the message of KIIS, " 34% do not support, and another 4.2% have not decided on their opinion " According to the research, most of all this norm is supported by residents of the West and Center of Ukraine (79.4% and 66.2%, respectively), the least - by residents of the East (38.8%, while 55.8% do not support). In the south, opinions are almost equally divided: 49% of respondents are in favor, 46.2% are against. In Donbass, 59.5% speak for service in Ukrainian, 32.1% do not want to hear the state language in a store, hospital, bank.

(At the same time, the survey was conducted only in the part of Donbass controlled by Ukraine). Sociologists say they are not surprised that support for the new language norm is so significant. As the deputy director of KIIS Anton Grushetsky said, it is very important to correctly formulate the question. \? " At the same time, the question is formulated exactly as it is formulated by the language law. That is, with a clarification: at the request of the client, the service can be carried out in another language acceptable to the parties.
