Hawaiian authorities plan to end travel quarantine from October 15.
State Governor David Ige said the islands will lift mandatory self-isolation for visiting guests who can prove they have no coronavirus. To do this, they will have to prepare a certificate with a negative PCR test result.. You need to be tested for COVID-19 no earlier than 72 hours before the arrival of the flight.
Initially, it was assumed that the program would begin on August 1, but due to the increase in the number of cases, it was postponed until mid-autumn..
In addition to providing test results, travelers must undergo a medical examination and thermometry, and before boarding a flight, fill out a special form that contains their QR code.
Hawaii has 10,946 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 103 deaths, according to the state health department.
