The answers of the respondents were divided along the party line. 81% of Democrats and 59% of independents expressed great concern about Floyd's death, compared with only 29% of Republicans.
The same survey indicates that 80% of voters believe that the situation in the country has gone out of control, including 66% of Republicans, 92% of Democrats, and 79% of independent. Only 15% of respondents believe that the situation in the country as a whole is under control.
A survey among 1,000 registered voters was conducted May 18 - June 2. The statistical error is 3.1%.
