In Finland, a new law on traffic will come into force in June, which will also change the fines imposed for violating speed limits - you can get a fine if you drive slower than the speed limit if it prevents traffic, Postimees reports.

The head of the Finnish police road safety center, High Commissioner Dennis Pasteerstein said that under the new law on traffic, the police may impose a fine of 100 euros on drivers who drive slower than the speed limit.

The change is due to the appearance in June of a new traffic sign that sets the minimum speed on the road. This means setting the minimum speed on a multi-lane highway, where you can’t drive slower if the traffic flow does not allow it..

The purpose of the road sign is to regulate traffic in which slow-moving cars can obstruct the flow of traffic. Pasteurstein shares a photo of the new road sign on Twitter. He added that minimum speeds can also be controlled using speed cameras..
