According to Radio Azatlyk, now citizens of Turkmenistan must provide certificates from their place of residence, as well as clinics, to receive a pension.

" To do this, you must first obtain a certificate of residence, as well as a certificate from the clinic, "

According to local officials who spoke with Azatlyk, these measures are being taken to prevent the use of pension funds accrued on plastic cards of pensioners by family members in case of their death.

" It is reported that there have been such cases, "

The editors of Azatlyk could not receive official confirmation and find out the details of the new rules regarding the pension provision of citizens in state institutions of the Lebap province.

Similar rules have been in force for more than a year, in particular in the capital.

According to Azatlyk correspondents, in Ashgabat the rule came into force in 2018.. But local pensioners found out about this only when faced with a lack of pension accruals. Retirees did not receive official notification of new requirements.

" The second and subsequent visits should be carried out 6 months after the first mark, "

In Turkmenistan, the officially declared minimum pension is about $ 72 at the state rate and about $ 13 at the black rate. Pension in Turkmenistan is one of the lowest in Central Asia.
