According to the survey, every fifth Ukrainian (18.7%) at the age of 12 and over has a habit of smoking, of which 38% smoke for more than 20 years, according to a survey of households conducted by the State Statistics Service.
Among adult males, 43% of persons aged 18-59 smoked and 23% of persons of incapable working age. Reported that smoke, 7% of women aged 18-58 years, and among adolescents aged 16-17 years, smoking 6% of boys and 2% of girls.
Among smoking Ukrainians, 35% smoke an average of 6 to 10 cigarettes a day, 32% smoke 16 to 20 cigarettes.
