The corresponding draft decision "On overcoming the consequences of the Soviet occupation in the language policy in the city of Chernivtsi" was adopted by the deputies of the city council during an extraordinary session.
The document obliges office workers and documentation of local self-government bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations of communal ownership to speak the state language.
In addition, throughout all the names of institutions, enterprises, organizations, signboards, posters, posters, publications, messages, advertisements, any other forms of audio and visual advertising products, information for consumers of goods and services will now only be in Ukrainian.
As previously reported, "URA-Inform", in Ukraine, since 2018, Russian language will not be included in the list of subjects for external independent assessment. This is due to the fact that the volume of the order for the corresponding test was low.
