French actor and businessman Gerard Depardieu intends to settle in Algiers. He said this in an interview with La Provence.

He called Algeria a magnificent country and noted that he had chosen his capital for living. According to the actor, he is interested in the history of Algeria and he considers Algerians to be very clever people. He also noted that in Algeria settled a famous football player Erik Cantona, he lives in the city of Oran.
