Ukrainian soldiers conducted a peacekeeping mission in the country for 14 years, while under President Yushchenko a military contingent from Ukraine was sent there. In particular, in neighboring Cote d'Ivoire, the Ukrainian Mi-24 destroyed warehouses with rebel firing systems. During all the years of the mission, as a result of military operations, five Ukrainians were killed.
Now the soldiers will be placed on a weekly quarantine, where they will have to undergo a medical examination, and then they will be able to return to their families. Another 25 people from the Ukrainian team will arrive in the country next week.
