According to forecasts of specialists, after that the situation should stabilize, and in the coming days the water will start to recede.
Flooded were the cellars of houses and streets in a number of cities in Bavaria, Baden-Wurttemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia. In the commune of Punderich, lying on the Moselle, for example, residents were forced to change cars to boats.
As previously reported in "URA-Inform", in Transcarpathia because of the weather that hit the region on the eve, there are still flooded 116 households. Of these, under water are 148 basements and almost 500 hectares of farmland. At the same time, the centralized water supply of the city of Mukachevo has been restored by clarity.
