The Superfinal of the XXXI International Championship to solve logical mathematical problems was held on August 30-31 in Paris, the press service of the Kharkiv City Council. Usually in the competitions are students of grades 1-11, students of higher educational institutions. For each age category, a number of creative non-standard tasks are suggested, and the results of their decision determine the winners. This year 538 students, students and teachers from Ukraine, France, Switzerland, Tunisia, Canada, Belgium, Italy, Niger, Poland, Russia took part in the championship of this year.. From Ukraine to the championship came 21 pupils. Kharkov represented 9 schoolchildren, and all of them became winners of the competitions (according to the terms of the championship, the winners are the top ten participants in each category). Particularly successful was the performance in the younger age group: the first place was taken by a pupil of the 4th class of the Kharkiv secondary school №54 Kirill Gontar, a pupil of the 4th class of the Kharkov specialized school № 119 Roman Sidorenko took the second place, and the pupil of the 4th class of the Kharkov grammar school №46 named after him. Lomonosov Feodor Kanurnyi - the sixth. The top ten participants in this category of the championship included only five Ukrainian students. In the middle age category, pupils of the 6th grade of the Kharkov training and educational complex No. 45 "Academic Gymnasium" Vladimir Chub (2nd place) and Sofia Zaozerskaya (4th place).

A pupil of the 5th class of the Kharkov training and educational complex №45 "Academic Gymnasium" Andrei Zykov showed the eighth result, and Mark Trigulov, a pupil of the 6th form of the Kharkov Physics and Mathematics Lyceum №27, took the ninth place. Successfully also were pupils of the 6th form of the Kharkov training and educational complex №45 "Academic Gymnasium" Daria Goliasova and Ekaterina Bondarenko. The weighty component of the victory of Kharkiv schoolchildren at the international championship was the work of their mentors - teachers of schools and leaders of the circle "Fizmatik" on the basis of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics and the Urban Mathematical Club "Evrika".
