He was removed from the facade of the building of the Memorial House Museum of Academician Yavornytsky. According to local media, last year the building board had already been torn off the board, which turned out to be plastic, not metal. Because the vandals just threw it out on the doorstep.

The administration of the museum appealed to the police with a request to strengthen patrolling in the upland part of the Cathedral area and pay special attention to the house of Yavornytsky. However, this night the vandals again committed an attempt.

In this connection, the employees of the house-museum are asked to help in the search for a bas-relief. If you witness a theft, scientists are asked to report to the police or contact the museum staff.

Recall, the House of Dmitry Ivanovich Yavornytsky is a monument of history of national importance and the only memorial estate in the territory of our region.

Academician Yavornytsky lived in a house in the first half of the twentieth century. The very same house - a monument of architecture of the beginning of the last century. In memory of the outstanding resident of the city, whose name is called the central avenue, a memorable bas-relief was erected on the facade of the house, and the building itself was made a museum.

As reported URA-Inform, the vandals in the capital broke a commemorative plaque that was installed by the deceased hero of the Heavenly Hundred - Roman Senik.
