The report says that NASA scientists have been watching this asteroid since 2010. After its discovery, it was named 441987 (2010 NY65).
It is noted that the asteroid moves at a speed of 46 thousand kilometers per hour. In diameter it is 300 meters.
According to the latest data, if nothing changes and the asteroid does not move from the calculated path, the "uninvited guest" will approach the Earth on the morning of June 24. It will pass the planet at a distance of 3 million kilometers. The glow of the asteroid will radiate a brightness comparable to the 17-star magnitude.
Scientists can not unequivocally say how much this rapprochement is risky for people's lives. Therefore, astrophysicists note that an asteroid can be considered "potentially dangerous".
Earlier, URA-Inform reported that Stephen Hawking can see the cosmos first hand.
