While the scandal around the people of Trump and himself with the representatives of Russia, clearly included in the cage of the ruling conglomerate of special services and embezzlers, is gathering momentum in the States, the toxicity of the Kremlin has manifested itself in the long-awaited place. Although many observers and assumed such a development of events, but the rapidity with which everything happened - no one expected.
It is a question of a complete breakdown of the relations of the six Arab countries with Qatar. Yesterday nothing foreshadowed the storm, and today the joint statement of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait on the severance of diplomatic diplomatic and economic relations. Moreover, diplomats are given 48 hours to get out, and citizens of Bahrain - 14 days. Sea and air communication with Doha is closed and moreover - the sea and air space of these countries is closed, for aircraft and ships of Qatar. Such an instant and harsh reaction followed without open military aggression of Qatar to one of the neighbors and this suggests that these countries are not going to calmly look at things much smaller than we got from Russia. By the way, Moscow is also very much stinking here and that's why.
In December last year, there was a rather bright event, which left more questions than answers. It is about the acquisition of a 19.5% stake in Rosneft by a consortium, under the flags of the Swiss oil trader Glencore. This happened at a critical time for the whole of Russia, and for Rosneft. The RF, being under sanctions, strictly needs circulating assets and the dying economy is desperate for financial injections. It is clear that such a deal went against the efforts of countries that impose sanctions on the Russian Federation. Here it was a question of a one-time injection into the budget of the Russian Federation € 10.2. But the most interesting was in the composition of this consortium. Of the obvious participants, it was possible to name only two directly: Glencore and Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). Moreover, the Swiss participated in the event purely symbolically and contributed to this case only € 300 million. Qatari said they were making € 2.5 billion. The remaining funds are supposedly secured by loans of a certain pool of banks.
Without going into the details of this extremely muddy transaction, we note that the deal was clearly initiated by Qatar, and all the others - joined it on the technical conditions.
The deal occurred in December, and in January, the Emir of Qatar, Tamim al-Thani, visited Moscow. It is clear that the very visit of the head of state was the completion of the preparatory process, which took place through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or informal contacts, most likely the secret services. That is, tight contacts began at least a month before Al-Thani's visit. And this leads us to the moment when the coalition of Arab countries and Turkey, gathered two groups of troops: the northern - in Turkey, and the southern - in the territory of Saudi Arabia. We wrote about this in detail and only note that both factions were ready to begin counteroffensive on the territory of Turkey, destroying Igil and forcing out Asad troops. The operation was expected to start from day to day, and the Turkish airbase Injirlik was simply loaded by coalition aviation. At that moment, something broke. At the moment of the highest combat readiness of the coalition, something happened that led to its disintegration. During the month, troops from many countries, including Pakistan, returned to their bases, and Russia - resumed its offensive.
The report on the visit of the Emir of Qatar did not yet give an idea of ??what he was discussing with Putin, but the on-duty phrases about uniting efforts to fight terrorism and the energy market were pronounced. Who expected that Qatar will get involved in a deal with Rosneft shares, which is in a sorry state, and in addition - half a step from targeted sanctions, but it did happen. Qatar paid for very risky assets, which led to suspicion of the second day of the deal. It did not let go of the feeling that in fact Qatar paid for something else. By the way, following the results of that January visit, the parties did not say a word about Syria, but this topic could not be discussed there and most likely, some kind of agreement arose.
What can be extracted in open sources and that fits into the logic of events looks like this.
Under the flags of Qatar, privatization of Rosneft began. Where it actually takes a fifth of the stake, it is not yet known, but one can assume, since most of the transaction is provided by means of Russian or foreign-controlled foreign banks. Most likely, Qatar simply indicated its presence in the deal and drew attention from those who actually privatized a piece of Rosneft. In addition, Qatar withdrew from the Arab Coalition for Syria and stopped financing the forces behind the Gulf Coalition. This alone might have consequences, but the reaction was only now.
Surely, only now has surfaced what Qatar actually received from the Russian Federation for participating in its plans. The Arab press reports that the circumstances of the organization and financing of a number of terrorist attacks in the Gulf countries became known to Qatar and also that he was caught in the financing of factions working for Iran.
Thus, the channels of funding Qatar for the Ansarullah movement in Yemen became known. This is the grouping that brought a lot of problems to Arabia. Traces of Qatar were found in the financing of the Egyptian Brothers of Muslims and what is most interesting, the money of the Doha surfaced even in IGIL. Putting these statements together, there is another common line between the forces invested in Qatar. Almost all of them are armed with Russian weapons and there are Russian instructors, fighters or commanders.
That is, Moscow let Qatar through its ties, and he - took on a partial financing of these forces, thereby - challenging the leadership of Saudi Arabia. At the same time, it turned out that the positions of Qatar too accurately superimposed on the position of Iran. That is, Doha moved to the camp of the enemy, and this - do not forgive. Than all this will end while it is difficult to imagine, but one can state with all confidence. All those who deal with Moscow, become toxic as a "new friend". To start any games with the Kremlin is the stupidest thing you can imagine.
We will not be surprised if the Kremlin deliberately designed a leak of confidential information about the agreements with the emir of Kuwait to tear Qatar away from the long-standing coalition. These are their methods. Nothing secret will not remain a secret, if the Kremlin will have to light it up. Everyone who has not yet got into this mess, you should think ten times before you have anything with these ducks.
