Veteran of ATO Alexander Shvetsov visited the Vatican, where he managed to be photographed with Pope Francis.

The corresponding picture Shvetsov posted in his Facebook.

"Well hold on ... It's Dad!" - he shared his joy.

Internet users actively comment on the photo:.

Note that the native of Zhitomir Alexander Shvetsov fought for two months in the ATU as part of the 30th OMBR. In the battle near Lugansk he was wounded, because of what he lost his leg.

Now Shvetsov is a participant in the charitable project "Peremozhtsi", within the framework of which he supports veterans of ATU with disabilities.

The Ukrainian military in the framework of the charity project visited a traditional audience with the Pope, which took place on the square in front of St. Peter's Cathedral in the Vatican. After that, the Pontiff accepted them personally.

As reported by the "Observer", earlier Ukrainian volunteers created a photo project dedicated to ATU "If it were not for the war".
