It is reported that this situation is associated with low coverage of preventive vaccinations of children and with the cyclicity of this disease.

The report says that according to the Ministry of Health in May, there is an increase in the incidence of measles in the Odessa and Ivano-Frankivsk regions:

from the beginning of the year 114 suspected measles, of which 83 cases were laboratory confirmed in Odessa, and in Ivano-Frankivsk region - 279 calls for Suspected measles, 140 of them have already received laboratory confirmation.

It is noted that in 2016 only 45.5% of children received vaccination, revaccination - 30.2%. And now there is an increase in the disease compared to last year more than 20 times.

Earlier, URA-Inform reported that the epidemic of African swine fever broke out in Poland.
