Flying cars have recently become one of the current topics for discussion. Therefore, the University of Michigan developed a special scientific program dedicated to the problems and prospects of this type of transport.

As part of research conducted in the United States, the expectations and preferences of consumers. It turned out that two-thirds of Americans surveyed are interested in the ability to navigate by car, not only by land, but by air. However, the main problem is they see safety issues.

In particular, according to surveys conducted by Detroit News, 63% of respondents are "very concerned" with the safety of flying cars, while 83% said they would prefer vertical takeoff and landing instead of using a runway for conventional aircraft. In addition, 80% said that the parachute will be "very" or "extremely" important.

The results of this survey appeared soon after the Dutch company PAL-V presented a full-sized model of its aircraft, called Liberty at the Automobile Exhibition Top Marques in Monaco. The company intends to begin delivering the car-aircraft to customers in late 2018 and believe that this can cause revolutions in the history of personal transport.
