Ukrainian singer Ivan Dorn, who lives with his wife and children in France and is afraid to return to Ukraine due to the threat of mobilization, attended a Russian party in Germany on January 13. The event was organized by Russian theater director Kirill Serebrennikov. Ivan Dorn published footage from the party in stories on his Instagram page.

Dorn brought cardboard posters to the party with the words " From the stage he addressed the audience in Ukrainian.

The video was also published in the Telegram channel “What do you know about Bobul? "

Kirill Serebrennikov announced a party in Berlin on his Instagram. Among the guests were director Philip Avdeev, actors Odin Byron, Nikita Kukushkin, Svetlana Mamresheva, Mikhail Polyakov, Varvara Shmykova and Gurgen Tsaturyan, singer Jan Ge, ballerina Nadezhda Pavlova and composer Daniil Orlov.

Russian director Serebrennikov is considered to be in opposition to the Kremlin authorities: in 2022, he left the Russian Federation for France after his conviction in the case of embezzlement of budget money was cleared and spoke out against the war in Ukraine. However, in his performances he justified Russian soldiers who were “forced to kill” and promoted Russian narratives about “brotherly peoples.”.

After the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014, Ukrainian singer of Russian origin Ivan Dorn repeatedly performed concerts in Russia and called it “a vaccination against aggression for Russians.”.

With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, he spoke out against the war in Ukraine, published an appeal to Russians calling on them to “stop this catastrophe” and stated that “Ukraine is an independent, sovereign state.”.

On April 19, 2022, he released a track request for help to Ukraine, and on February 6, 2023, he asked for forgiveness for speaking in the Russian Federation after 2014.

On July 3, 2024, Ivan Dorn publicly identified himself as an exclusively Ukrainian artist and admitted that he realized the value of history and the Ukrainian language only after a full-scale invasion.

On August 7, the Russian publication SHOT published Ivan Dorn’s alleged rider, according to which he is ready to perform for Russians at corporate events in other countries for a fee of 4 million rubles.
