Lyudmila Senchina was born in 1950 in the family of a rural teacher and director of the House of Culture. From ancestors - Ukrainians, Gypsies and Moldovans - musical and singing peoples - she inherited her wonderful voice. At school, she participated in amateur arts, then went to Leningrad.

After graduating from the Musical College. Rimsky-Korsakov at the Leningrad Conservatory was invited to the Theater of Musical Comedy. After the performance on the New Year's Blue Light of the song "Cinderella" Senchina became famous. Many songs that she performed with her unusual transparent beautiful voice can not even be imagined in another performance: "The nightingale used to whistle for us all night ..." (a romance from the TV movie "Days of Turbins"), "A Fairy Tale", "Wormwood", "Pebbles" , "Love and Parting", "Wild Flowers", "Birthday".

In 1975, the singer became a soloist of a variety orchestra led by Anatoly Badhen, with whom she worked for more than ten years. And besides, Senchina was one of the leading musical programs of the Central Television "Artloto". None of the festive events of St. Petersburg took place without Sencina. Without it there was not a single program called "Song of the Year".

In addition, Senchina starred in six films, participated in festivals, traveled a lot with concerts around the country and abroad, participated in television projects.

Her work is marked by many titles and awards, including the title of People's Artist of Russia. She was known and loved. A gentle, very beautiful voice, an invariable almost childlike smile even in the moments of life most difficult for the singer.

The singer was married three times. For ten years her husband was the soloist of the tetra operetta in Leningrad Vyacheslav Timoshin. Their son now lives in the US and is engaged in real estate. The second husband was composer and creator of the group "Flowers" Stas Namin. The singer herself said that Namin opened other music for her, was very interesting, but painfully jealous. The third husband was the producer of the concert director Lyudmila Senchina Vladimir Andreev. "And the director, and husband, and friend. Senchina loved to rest at her dacha in Georgia, go for mushrooms, take guests at the dacha and treat them. She said that cooking cures her. Senchin did not go in for sports, but she did charge, in good weather she went to the stadium and walked by the hour at a rapid pace.

In recent years, Senchina has been struggling with a severe cancer, but few knew about it, she hid the disease.

Lyudmila Senchina died at the 68th year of life in one of their hospitals in St. Petersburg. Farewell to Senchina will be held on January 28 at the St. Petersburg Theater of Musical Comedy. The funeral of the singer will be in the Cathedral of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. According to the will, she will be buried in the Smolensk cemetery.
