The first episode of the seventh season of "Game of Thrones" set a record - a series watched 10.1 million viewers.

This is a new achievement for the series. The previous record was set in June 2016, when the final episode of the sixth season was watched by 8.8 million people.

The number of people who watched the premiere of the new season increased by 27% compared to the first series of last season.

Recall, on the HBO TV channel on Sunday, July 16, (the night of July 17, Kiev time) released the first episode of the seventh season of the American series "The Game of Thrones".

The new season starts later than the six previous ones, the premiere of which usually took place in March-April. In the seventh season, unlike the previous ones, only 7, not 10 episodes. They will be broadcast, respectively, on 16, 23 and 30 July, 6, 13, 20 and 27 August 2017.
