The film was created as a co-production of Ukraine, the USA and Australia. It talks about Ukrainian ceramic artists who, after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion, remain in Kharkov, suffering from constant shelling by the occupiers.
The main characters of the film - Slava, Anya and Andrey, continue to create porcelain products and decorate the mutilated buildings of the city with them.
“This is exactly what we are fighting for, so that our culture continues to exist, so that our art continues to exist, so that Ukraine continues to exist, and this is what we are fighting for, and I think we are doing it well. Our fighters, they are all civilians in life. They all have civilian professions, and not one of them wants to fight one extra minute to stay in the army.. Yes, this is exactly why I love porcelain, and this is exactly what I love about Ukraine. Yes, you can break us, but you cannot destroy us,” Leontiev said in a comment to Deadline.
Let us remind you that last year Mstislav Chernov’s film “20 days in Mariupol” was named the best documentary..
