Schoolchildren of the local council Lev Hasharon at the beginning of the week found a coin and a bronze bell on the archaeological excavations in the Kfar-Yavets mosh, the age of which is about 1700 years.
Children take part in excavations in the framework of a project designed to give students a visual representation of the history. The work is led by an archaeologist from the Ariel University,.
During the excavations it was established that at this place in the Byzantine period and the period of early Islam (approximately IV-IX centuries) there was a settlement. In the past, archaeologists have already found here the remains of the winery and pottery.
