Died director of the movie "The Night of the Living Dead" George Romero

Variety reports that the representative of the director Chris Rowe announced the death of Romero: "He died peacefully in a dream, after a short but aggressive fight with lung cancer".

George Romero in his legendary films of 1968 "Night of the Living Dead" created a certain canon of zombies, as we are accustomed to seeing them on the screen. After "Night of the Living Dead", Romero continued the series of films about zombies and shot "Dawn of the Dead", "Day of the Dead", "Land of the Dead" and the last film from the cycle, which was released in 2009 "Survival of the Dead".

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, passed away the life of actor Bill Paxton.
