He died on the 99th year of life. The official cause of the death of the writer has not yet been reported.

However, according to Russian media, the last few of her Granin was in one of the hospitals in the city, and shortly before his death was connected to the device of artificial ventilation.

Recall, Daniel Granin was born in 1919. The writer took part in the Second World War, in particular, fought in the tank troops. In the 1950-1960's Granin wrote his first novels "Seekers" and "I'm going on a storm".



Already in the late 1970s Granin together with Ales Adamovich wrote the "Blockade Book", which is a documentary chronicle of the siege of Leningrad. In 1979, Granin wrote the novel "The Picture", and later the novel "Unknown Man", which touched on the problems of preserving the historical memory. Also very popular is the essay Granina called "Fear", which refers to the overcoming of totalitarianism and communism.

As reported URA-Inform, in Moscow on June 29 died the former soloist of the group "Ivanushki International" Oleg Yakovlev. The musician died in a Moscow hospital at the age of 47.
