Discussion of European security issues should take place with the direct participation of Russia. This is insisted by Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Knajsl. According to her, everyone in Europe understands that without Russia serious problems can not be solved. It is time to recognize this publicly and establish a dialogue with Moscow, called Knyazl. The head of Austrian diplomacy noted that since the beginning of 2000s Europe has repeatedly stated its intention to strengthen relations with Russia. But all the time something prevented it: the recognition of Kosovo's independence, the aggression of Georgia against South Ossetia, the Ukrainian conflict and the reunification of the Crimea with the Russian Federation. However, in all cases, Europe suffered losses from the severance of ties with Russia. The European Union needs to reassess its interests in foreign policy and try to achieve a trusting relationship with Moscow, called Kneisl in an article in the German newspaper Welt. As a first step, it offers EU members, together with the Russian Federation, to solve problems in Syria. But he notes that this should be concrete steps, not a declaration of ideas, with which everything will be limited.

I must say that the Austrian Foreign Minister proved by his own example that one can deal with the Russian Federation and its leadership. She invited Vladimir Putin to her wedding, for which she was mercilessly criticized by a number of Western politicians and journalists. Recall that the President of the Russian Federation accepted the invitation, said at the celebration a toast in honor of the newlyweds and even danced with the bride. What Putin and Knyazl spoke during the short dance, remains a mystery.
