This happened in Copenhagen, when the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman arrived there. The reason for the attack on the Russian woman was her request to help with the translation of the words of the head of the government of Nezalezhnaya. At a press conference, Groisman spoke in Ukrainian with a translation into English via headphones. The correspondent of RIA Novosti asked him questions about the possible exchange of Oleg Sentsov, convicted for terrorism, and the price of gas for the Ukrainian population. According to Lyudmila Bozhko, she did not have time to write down the Prime Minister's answers completely and turned to Ukrainian journalists. One of them agreed to help with the translation. But two other Ukrainian journalists approached them almost immediately and "loudly and indignantly" asked a colleague "who is helping him". And Bozhko himself began to insult. "Yes, specifically you are a murderer, a propagandist," they told Lyudmila. And they added that "all of us (the correspondent realized that we are talking about Russian journalists) are copying everything". But the charges did not end there. Ukrainians continued to talk about her personal guilt before Ukraine, despite the fact that they were not familiar with it. "The aggressive couple so closely approached me that I really seriously thought that I was just going to be beaten. In shock, I walked away from the group, saying nothing and not intervening, "she said.. An hour later, another Ukrainian press representative came up to her and apologized for the behavior of his compatriots. Meanwhile, in Ukraine a similar attitude towards journalists has long ago become accepted norm.

The country is leading in intimidation and discrimination of media representatives. This was stated by Secretary General of the European Federation of Journalists Ricardo Gutierrez at the OSCE conference in Kiev. And in the evidence he cited the figures: in Nezalezhnaya 14% of violations were committed against journalists, while the average for other EU countries was 4%. Ukraine also joined the four European countries, where press representatives are arrested, and took its place in a dozen countries where journalists are killed.
