In the "United Russia" consider all views on the issue of the adoption of the pension reform. The party not only does not fight dissent, but also organized a large-scale discussion of the topic. This was told by a member of the party's supreme council, political scientist Dmitry Orlov, answering the question about the resignation of the secretary of the Yaroslavl branch of the party Mikhail Borovitsky. "In the discussion of the pension reform the discussion is welcomed, it is approved and initiated by the Secretary of the General Council of the Party Andrei Turchak. But there should be no aggression, an anti-government position, since the Party acts in solidarity with the Government. The line between discussion and inadequate positioning is extremely clear. The head of the Yaroslavl branch broke this line and, I think, knew what was going on, "he said.. Orlov noted that the leadership of the "ER" has developed a certain approach with regard to pension reform. "On the one hand, this is support for government initiatives, on the other - a detailed discussion of specific parameters. Both in the regions and in various party societies there is a rather active and intense discussion about the parameters of this reform. No one restrains it, does not suppress it, different opinions are expressed. But some aggression, a statement with a position that is fundamentally at variance with the position of the Party, violates not only party discipline, but also party self-identification, "he stressed.. Earlier, the media disseminated information that during the closed part of the meeting of the presidium of the General Council of United Russia, it was decided to resign office of the secretary of the Yaroslavl branch of the party, who concurrently holds the post of chairman of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma Mikhail Borovitsky. The reason was non-compliance with party decisions.

A day earlier, on June 26 in the Yaroslavl Regional Duma, they did not send an official response to the draft law on pension reform to the parliament, instead sending an appeal to State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin about the need to work out the issue in detail. The appeal was drafted and submitted by the United Russia faction ". Last week, party secretary Andrei Turchak noted that there should not be any contradictions among members of United Russia in the matter of raising the retirement age. Concerning Borovitsky, the presidium found it inadmissible that non-observance of inner-Party decisions to develop a consolidated position of the Party.
