The President of Russia in Europe is beyond competition. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey conducted by the French research center IFop commissioned by the agency Sputnik. Europeans were asked which of the current politicians they consider to be the strongest leader. And it turned out that more than a third of the inhabitants of the Old World agree that there is only one leader in the world: Vladimir Putin. At least 34% of respondents in Germany, 34% of French and 38% of Italians responded so. Even in the UK, where anti-Russian sentiments are now very strong due to the hype surrounding the case of Skripal, and then preferred 26% of respondents to Putin. Yes, Europe - 23% of Americans who were asked the same question, firstly named the name of the Russian president, writes RIA Novosti news agency.. Against this background, US President Donald Trump looks pale and inexpressive. Only 43% of Americans and 33% of Britons consider him to be leader.

In Germany, only 27% of respondents remembered it, 29% in Italy, 25% in France,. On the third place in the ranking of world leaders was Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping. For him voted 19% of the inhabitants of Germany, 17% of the French and 13% of Italians. At the same time, the British and Americans of the Chinese leader do not set anything - he is considered to be the leader by only 9% of respondents in the UK and 4% of US residents.

However, the same scanty 4% in America was received and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel. And in her own country, she gained only 12% of the vote. Even in Italy it is respected more - there for it voted 13% of respondents. In France and Great Britain, 9% of respondents paid tribute to it. The remaining presidents, including the head of the Fifth Republic, Emmanuelle Macron, received too few votes to merit mentioning in the summing up of the ratings.
