The collection of proposals for a rating vote on the improvement of public areas in the Middle Urals has been extended for another two days and instead of the earlier announced date - February 9 - will end on the coming Sunday, February 12. The decision was made on February 8 at the meeting of the interdepartmental commission of the region on the implementation of the priority project "Building a comfortable urban environment," the Governor's Information Policy Department.
"Residents of the territories turned out to be so active and interested in promoting their facilities that they began to apply to local authorities with requests to extend the reception of applications at least until the weekend. Taking into account the arguments given by the people that these days are free for most people from study and work and are more convenient for visiting precinct points, the commission agreed that these wishes are just and must be satisfied, "said the project's curator, the Minister of Energy and Housing Sverdlovsk region Nikolay Smirnov.
Moreover, he stressed that in the coming weekend, many Urals plan to embark on the "Russian Ski Track", and by decision of the local government, mobile points for voting will be placed in the places of this large-scale event.
The implementation of the project on the formation of a comfortable urban environment in the next five years will be carried out within the framework of the new state program, which entered into force on January 1 of this year. In accordance with the agreement signed between the regional government and the Ministry of Construction of Russia, the annual budget subsidies to support the municipalities of the Middle Urals on it will be 1.3 billion rubles.
Which territories will be included in the program of the region in 2018, Nikolai Smirnov informed, will be known by the end of the first quarter - after summing up the results of the rating vote of residents for public areas, which will be held on March 18.
In preparation for the voting, he said, 663 stationary points of proposals are working in the municipalities of the region, the total number of Sverdlovsk citizens who voted for the reconstruction of certain public spaces has already exceeded 157 thousand people. Leading positions on the number of voted take Ivdelsky and Verkhnesaldinsky urban districts, where more than one third of the population expressed their preferences. High activity is observed in Irbit and Irbit rayon (over 20% of inhabitants), Asbestos, which collected more than 13 thousand votes (about 20% of the population) and in other territories.
