There is no need to be a genius for understanding one of the political international axioms: America "carries democracy" exclusively to those countries where there is no missile defense system. Against states that are more serious about their military-industrial complex, the United States is imposing sanctions. After Moscow, Tehran and Pyongyang, the prospect of undergoing Washington's trade and economic pressure really loomed before Beijing.

The White House thoroughly prepares a package of restrictions on China, writes Politico with reference to two authoritative officials in the US administration.

Why did the People's Republic of China not please the Americans? Advisors to US President Donald Trump try to develop economic measures against China against the background of the situation around the DPRK.

As is known at the weekend, North Korea conducted another missile test. Yes, so smart that the rocket almost fell on the Japanese island of Hokkaido. This fact has stirred up a lot of Tokyo. And behind him and Washington.

Based on these realities, given the inability to independently "properly influence Pyongyang," the White House decided to press China. They say, they asked Beijing to influence their excessively violent neighbor. But he was silent and no significant action is taken.

The program of sanctions is being developed while "behind the scenes". Especially not advertised. But, as the high-ranking sources of Politico assure, the assurance that US President Donald Trump will approve it, one hundred percent.

As is known, while still a candidate in the elections, the Republican repeatedly criticized China for its softness in the Korean issue. And after he stood at the helm of the White House, his point of view not only did not change, but, rather, intensified. So experts do not doubt: a package of measures would have been formed, and even Trump will sign it.

According to the newspaper, Trump's aides held meetings during the week, during which they discussed possible economic measures. Probably, pressure in the banking sector. Do not exclude personal sanctions. Up to the freezing of foreign assets.

Sources told the publication that Trump advisors will discuss measures against China on Monday, and a final decision on them may already be taken during the current week.

North Korea held missile tests on Saturday night, July 29. According to the information of the North Korean side, the rocket was intercontinental and overcame over the Sea of ??Japan a distance of 988 kilometers in 47 minutes and 12 seconds, reaching a maximum height of the trajectory of 3724.9 kilometers.

Japan reported that the missile fell in the central part of the Sea of ??Japan within its exclusive economic zone a few dozen kilometers from the island of Hokkaido. Pyongyang, in turn, believes that the rocket fell 170 kilometers from the coast of the island, and this is "quite a safe distance".

Official Tokyo expressed strong protest in connection with what happened. Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe believes that Russia and China should increase pressure on the DPRK, reports Bloomberg.

In his words, Japan is making "consistent efforts" to solve the "North Korean problem peacefully," but the DPRK "ignores their fullness" and "exacerbates the situation unilaterally".

After a conversation with US President Donald Trump on July 31, Abe stated that "the international community, beginning with China and Russia, should take this obvious fact seriously and increase the pressure".

Earlier, Trump wrote in his Twitter microblogging that he was disappointed in China, as Beijing did nothing to solve the DPRK problem. US Permanent Representative to the UN Nikki Hailey also called on Beijing to start taking action against Pyongyang.
