They replaced national interest with electoral, financial, sociological. The majority against joining NATO? , - we must listen to the will of the people! Do people want cheap gas? - the desire of voters is more important than ephemeral energy independence. The military budget? - it is better to raise pensions by 100 hryvnia, who needs this army.

We lost the Crimea and the Donbas - the regions to which this degree of compromise was applied most intensively, up to the complete dismantling of the Ukrainian state, with the replacement of its institutions by the institutions of control by the local, Moscow-bought mafia.

I do not care if Ukrainians want NATO, whether they are against the visa regime with Russia and how they relate to the closure of the "Vkontakte". Not because I do not respect people's opinion. But because I know for sure that they do not want bombs exploding in their street, they do not want chaos and war.

And the dismantling of the Ukrainian state and the oblivion of the concept of national interest by the elite is the direct way to new blood, new occupation, chaos and new victims. As a politician, I refuse to pay attention to the position of people who want our country to surrender. And the conversation with collaborators is recognized only from the position of strength, not compromise.
