The creation of a special platform for negotiations on the annexation of the Crimea would be very useful, but under the current political regime in Russia this is impossible.

This opinion was expressed to the "Observer" by the Russian journalist and TV presenter Evgeny Kiselev.

"The emergence of such a site would certainly be useful. However, I am afraid that today the Russian Federation will take an obstructionist stance on this issue - declare that we do not conduct any negotiations on the Crimea, which, according to their position, is an integral part of the Russian Federation, "the journalist is convinced.

Kiselev also does not doubt that "from this position the current Russian leadership will not come down". "If to be realistic, I would say that the emergence of any form of negotiations on the Crimea, a platform for discussion involving the Russian Federation, can happen only after the political situation in Russia changes and another regime comes to power," added he.

At the same time, the journalist is sure that "Ukrainian diplomacy, the Ukrainian authorities should clearly, at every opportunity, confirm that they do not recognize the annexation of the Crimea and constantly enjoy the fact that almost all states, except for a few, also did not recognize the annexation of the peninsula". In addition, diplomats should own the art of "bringing the interlocutor to certain statements, including public ones". "To ensure that during the negotiations at the international level, international contacts, during various official events, conferences, international meetings, their participants included in their final documents and in their public statements, articulate their position on the Crimea," said Kiselev.

He acknowledged that "the US and its allies will not fight against Russia because of the Crimea and, of course, the opportunities of the Western powers, which in this issue are allies of Ukraine, to influence Moscow, of course, are limited".

"But because of this, there is no need to rush into hysteria," he said, "because the allies of Ukraine can use other opportunities for supporting the country. In this context, Kiselyov recalled how for almost 50 years the United States supported the Baltic countries, annexed by the Soviet Union, while simultaneously having diplomatic, economic, trade relations with the Union.

"For almost 50 years, the annexation of the Baltic states, the US continued to maintain a variety of connections and contacts with the Soviet Union. Nevertheless, the United States provided moral support to the forces of national liberation in the Baltic States in various forms.

From granting political asylum to the leaders of the struggle for independence before broadcasting the radio station "Svoboda" and "Free Europe" in the languages ??of the Baltic countries for most of this time, "he said..

As the "Observer" wrote, the well-known Russian political scientist and journalist Stanislav Belkovsky in the Gordon program stated that Ukraine will not be able to regain the annexed Crimea.
