Austria refused to import Russian oil after the start of the war in Ukraine

Austria after the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine stopped importing oil from Russia. The country has replaced Russian resources with other oil from the market.

This is reported by the Austrian newspaper Krone..

According to the Austrian Statistics Office and the Petroleum Industry Association, Russian oil imports amounted to about 7.8%.

Kazakhstan has been the main supplier of oil to Austria for many years, the share of imports of which is 38.9 percent. In second and third place are Libya with 22.1% and Iraq with 20.7%.
