The Ministry of Agrarian Policy explained how the law on food security will work

The law on creating conditions for ensuring food security under martial law, which is aimed at the rapid involvement of agricultural land in the production of agricultural products, entered into force on April 7. It is reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

It is noted that the law is based on the priority of public (state) interests over the interests of individuals in war conditions.. This means that the law suspends some of the legal mechanisms that protect private interests..

The law introduces simplified legal mechanisms that ensure:.

Automatic extension for 1 year of contracts for the use of agricultural land plots of all forms of ownership;

Simplified procedure for leasing for commercial agricultural production agricultural land plots of state and communal property by authorities;

Simplified procedure for leasing for commercial agricultural production agricultural land plots of state and communal property by their permanent land users and employers;



Transfer by tenants and subtenants of the rights to lease and sublease agricultural land plots of all forms of ownership for farming;

The procedure for state registration of contracts regarding the Land;

Signing contracts with qualified electronic signatures.
