The State Inspection of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Safety Supervision (Gosavianadzor) and the State Aviation Service of Ukraine agreed on the restoration of direct regular flights between Tashkent and Kiev.

Such information was confirmed in the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, reports HB.

The embassy noted that the results of the talks on December 12, 2017 in Tashkent, the aviation authorities of the two countries signed an appropriate protocol, which provides for the resumption of direct regular flights between Tashkent and Kiev with a frequency of two flights a week.

In addition, the parties also agreed on a code-sharing agreement (joint operation of an overhead line).

Recall that in 2013 the national airline of Uzbekistan planned to stop regular flights Tashkent-Kiev-Tashkent due to a conflict with the Ukrainian airline UIA.

In 2014, Uzbekistan Airways and UIA reached an agreement before the end of July 2014 to conclude an interline agreement on mutual recognition of shipping documents, as well as a code-sharing agreement.

In May 2015, Uzbek airlines temporarily stopped flights on the route Tashkent-Kiev-Tashkent due to the lack of agreements between the aviation authorities of Uzbekistan and Ukraine regarding the operation of contractual airlines.

In September 2015 it became known that the Uzbek airline closes the office in Kiev.
