The State Duma decided to freeze the savings unanimously - in the second reading, the bill was supported by all 333 deputies present on the ground. The moratorium will last till 2020 inclusive. The authors of the documents expect that in this way it will be possible to substantially fill the budget of the Pension Fund - by more than half a trillion rubles.

The State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs stressed that this money will be used to pay current insurance pensions. "The implementation of the bill will lead to a reduction in the specified amount of the transfer for compulsory pension insurance, given to the budget of the FIU from the federal budget," the Regnum agency was told in the committee.

It should be noted that this is the fifth moratorium on the accumulative part of pensions. The government has fulfilled the first freeze of savings in 2014.
