According to the department, Demchishin was appointed Minister of Energy on December 2, 2014. On December 25 of the same year in the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada began his lustration check.

As of April 14, 2016, when he was dismissed, in connection with the election of a new Cabinet of Ministers, the verification was never completed.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs did not provide the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada with information that should be provided in accordance with the law "On the Purification of the Authority," and therefore the verification on the date of his dismissal from office was not completed,.

Recall, Demchishin is the only member of the previous government, which did not pass the lustration check during his tenure.

As reported URA-Inform, after being dismissed from the post of Minister Demchishin was appointed a member of the supervisory board of Naftogaz of Ukraine on the quota of the Presidential Administration.
