Europe will be extremely dependent on Russian gas at least until 2040. Such a forecast was made in the US Department of Energy, having analyzed the energy market trends for the next 20 years. Appetites of Asian importers will also increase.

If we believe American power engineers, the supply of hydrocarbon raw materials from Russia to Europe and Asia in a few years will increase significantly, and by 2040. and did reach record levels. All pipelines under construction from Russia to Europe, to Asia, to the south will be in demand and filled to the maximum. To meet the needs of the market, Russia will begin to develop more actively deposits in the east of the country and in the Arctic. Accordingly, the lion's share of the extracted raw materials will go directly to China, RT reports with reference to the document of the Ministry of Energy of the USA.

But Europe will not remain deprived. And within the next 20 years, its energy dependence on Russia will not be able to reduce any US efforts, for example, the import of LNG.

Therefore, all the statements that the import of LNG from the US will help to completely abandon Russian gas, as the representative of the Polish government on the energy infrastructure of Petr Naimski recently optimistically, is completely unfounded.

At present, Russia is laying several new pipelines for the export of hydrocarbons in different directions: "The Power of Siberia" to China, "North Stream-2" to Northern Europe, "Turkish Stream" to Turkey and, possibly, to Southern Europe. Alternatives for a similar price in these directions are not present.
