NKRECU adopted a new methodology for the formation of CHP tariffs for the next half-year

The corresponding "Tariff Formation Methodology" was approved at the meeting of the regulator.

According to the ministry, the commission now tied the maximum cost of coal in the tariffs of thermal power plants to the futures quotes of the European Energy Exchange AG for the next six months.

Also, the indicative value of coal will take into account the cost of its delivery from the ports of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp to Ukraine, transshipment in the Ukrainian port and transportation by rail to the CHPP.

Note that the cost of transportation will be calculated on the basis of data for the last year.

By the way, this method provides for adjusting the cost of coal in case its quality is lower than the main indicators that are laid down in the document.

As reported earlier by URA-Inform, the National Commission that implements state regulation in the energy and utility sectors (NCRECU) has prepared a regulatory framework for the introduction of incentive tariff formation.
