The State Agency for the Management of the Exclusion Zone for 49 years leased two land plots to the two companies in the Chernobyl zone.

OOO EcoSolar Invest (Vinnitsa) and Solar Chernobyl (Kiev) received land in the Chernobyl zone of 3.4 hectares and 1.7 hectares respectively for the construction of solar power plants, according to EcoTown.

The Vinnytsia company will use a concrete platform for vehicles in Chernobyl, and "Solar Chernobyl" - a part of the concrete platform near the building of the "second-order switchgear" in Pripyat.

According to the State Agency, "EcoSolar Invest" already uses a Ukrainian solar power plant with a capacity of 3 MW.

The company belongs to Alexander Labensky and Batimi Babich (her son Dmitry was previously a deputy of the Kiev regional council from the Party of Regions and headed the State Administration for Environmental Protection in Vinnytsia region).

According to the State Register, the only beneficiary of the Kiev company is Evgeny Varyagin - the former head of projects for solar power plants of Activ Solar (controlled by the brothers Klyuev). At the same time, "Solar Chernobyl" is a joint project of the consortium "Enerparc AG - Motherland Energy Group".
