The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proposes to the Verkhovna Rada to halve the salaries of the head of the National Agency for the identification, search and management of assets obtained from corruption and other crimes to UAH 19.2 thousand and the head of the National Commission regulating in the energy and utilities sector - up to 80 thousand UAH. The corresponding bill was approved at a government meeting today.

Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman read out this decision among the adopted by the government at the meeting without discussion.

The bill provides for a change in the amount for calculating salaries in the National Agency for Return of Assets and NKREC from a minimum wage to the minimum wage for the able-bodied, which is set for January 1 of the calendar year.

Accordingly, for 2017, the salary of the head of the National Agency for the return of assets will amount to 12 subsistence minimums for the able-bodied - 19.2 thousand UAH (at the moment - 38.4 thousand UAH). The salary of the head of the NCRECU will amount to 12 subsistence wage for the able-bodied - 80 thousand UAH (now - 160 thousand UAH).
