Until the final approval of the candidacy of the new head of the regulator, the first deputy acting head of the NBU, Yakov Smoliy. This was yesterday in the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels, the people's deputy, the representative of the president in the parliament Irina Lutsenko.
According to her, the long inter-plenary period led to the fact that the president could not fully consult with the next candidate, which will be proposed for the post of chairman of the NBU.
If Gontareva goes on vacation, namely on May 10 the deadline ends, when she announced that she intends to resign, then her duties will be performed by First Deputy Yakov Smoliy. The head of state will decide on a new candidate after political consultations with the parliament, the politician explained, adding that Gontareva will report to the Verkhovna Rada on her work if there is such a need.
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, April 10, Gontareva announced her resignation.
